Coningsby, a town renowned for holding the UK's highest recorded temperature of 40.3C in 2022, is currently enduring another significant heatwave. Businesses are reporting a surge in demand for cooling refreshments. One local cafe owner noted a doubling in milkshake and smoothie orders as people seek to quench their thirst during the hot weather.

While the town experiences highs reaching 30C, nearby attractions are proving popular. Jubilee Park, a community-run lido, has sold out of swimming sessions. The park's operations manager highlighted the financial benefits of the hot weather for the charity, while also implementing measures to prevent heat exhaustion among staff and visitors.

Local wildlife parks are also implementing cooling strategies for their animals. At Ark Wildlife Park, exotic animals accustomed to heat are enjoying the weather, while others, like arctic foxes, receive special attention with paddling pools and frozen treats. Tattershall Farm Park has also adapted by providing frozen treats and water sprays for its animals. Despite these efforts, some businesses have experienced a hit due to the extreme heat.
