UK Braces for Surprise April Blizzard!
26 Mar
Summary
- Snow is predicted to hit London and other major UK cities.
- Temperatures could drop to -2C in Scotland and 1C in England.
- Northern Ireland is expected to be the only area to avoid snow.

Advanced weather models indicate a surprising blizzard is set to move across the UK from the east, with snow anticipated in several major cities. By the morning of April 9, temperatures could fall to as low as -2C in Scotland and 1C across much of England and Wales, facilitating wintry showers.
Snowfall is expected to begin in eastern areas and gradually spread, potentially reaching low-lying regions by midday. Cities such as London, Cardiff, and Newcastle could be impacted, while Northern Ireland is predicted to remain unaffected by the snow.
The Met Office also suggests a possibility of snow next month, noting that while generally average temperatures are expected, colder interludes could bring wintry showers, particularly in the north. BBC Weather forecasts a chance of "chillier flows" from the northerly quarter towards mid-April, with a possibility of temperatures dipping near or below normal.
