Summary
- New yellow ice warning issued for eastern Scotland and north-east England.
- Over 72 flood warnings and 191 flood alerts are in effect across England.
- Unsettled and blustery conditions are forecast for the upcoming week.

The Met Office has issued a new yellow warning for ice, covering parts of eastern Scotland and north-east England from Sunday evening until Monday morning. This warning is in effect following a period of rain and hill snow, with temperatures expected to drop below freezing as skies clear overnight. Ice forming on untreated surfaces could lead to hazardous travel conditions.
Simultaneously, the Environment Agency has advised the public to remain vigilant due to ongoing flood risks. As of Sunday evening, there were 72 active flood warnings, indicating expected flooding, and 191 flood alerts, where flooding is possible, across England. Approximately 330 homes and businesses have been flooded, while over 24,000 have been protected.
The forecast for the coming week indicates a continuation of unsettled and blustery weather across the entire country, featuring scattered showers. These conditions are expected to ease by Tuesday, but another weather system is predicted to arrive on Wednesday, bringing further unsettled conditions before a drier outlook on Thursday.
