UK Braces for Snow: Warnings Issued for Tuesday

The Met Office has issued warnings for snow and rain expected to affect several parts of the UK, particularly on Tuesday. While low-level accumulations are unlikely, higher elevations above 300m could see 2-5cm of snow, with more significant amounts possible at greater heights. Drifting snow is possible in brisk winds, potentially disrupting travel on high-level routes.

In anticipation of severe weather, British Gas advises households to prepare for potential heating disruptions. They recommend having sleeping bags, blankets, and warm coats readily available. Additionally, checking on elderly or vulnerable relatives and neighbours is encouraged to ensure they have necessary provisions during a cold snap.
