UK Braces for Arctic Blast: Snow and Sub-Zero Temps Ahead!
30 Oct
Summary
- Temperatures could plummet to -9C in parts of Scotland.
- Several areas in Scotland and England are predicted to see snow.
- Official forecasts from the Met Office and Netweather do not mention snow.

The United Kingdom could face a significant cold snap in the next few days, with weather charts suggesting plummeting temperatures and potential snowfall. WX Charts' projections indicate that parts of central Scotland might experience lows of -9C on November 12th. Snow is also forecasted for numerous areas across Scotland, including Highland and Glasgow, and across England, such as Cumbria and Yorkshire.
Despite these predictions, established forecasters like the Met Office and Netweather have not included snow in their outlooks for the period. The Met Office anticipates more unsettled weather with rain and strong winds, particularly in the north and west, with temperatures generally near or slightly above average. Netweather also sees no clear signal for widespread snow, suggesting the possibility of high-pressure ridges and depressions bringing rain to southwestern Britain, with temperatures likely to be a few degrees above normal.
