A cluster of showers and thunderstorms in the eastern Atlantic is gradually becoming better organized and is likely to develop into a tropical storm. This system, which may be named Jerry, is expected to pass close to the northeastern Caribbean islands later this week or this upcoming weekend, bringing a glancing blow of rain and wind.
While the storm's future track remains uncertain, the most likely scenario is for it to turn northward, keeping it east of the U.S. mainland. However, interests across the Caribbean and along the East Coast should closely monitor the system's progress. Impacts to Bermuda also cannot be ruled out next week.
