These powerful storms brought intense winds, heavy downpours, and large hail, resulting in downed trees and widespread power outages. Baltimore Gas & Electric reported that as of Wednesday morning, over 12,000 customers were still without electricity, affecting Baltimore City and surrounding counties. While 36,384 customers had their service restored, the impact was significant.
The good news for residents is that the cold front responsible for the severe weather has now moved offshore. An area of high pressure is building, promising much quieter weather conditions for the next several days.
