Meteorologists have identified a severe thunderstorm located near Bedminster, moving south at 15 mph. This storm poses a hazard of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail, with potential impacts including minor damage to vehicles, roofs, siding, trees, and power lines.
The National Weather Service defines a severe thunderstorm warning for storms with winds of 58 mph or higher or hail one inch in diameter or larger. Such storms can also bring heavy rain, flooding, or flash flooding. Residents are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for protection.
