Port Orange Parade Washed Out by Storm

Port Orange's much-anticipated annual Holiday Parade, slated for Sunday, December 7, has been called off by the city. The decision stems from a concerning weather forecast predicting heavy rain and hazardous conditions. Officials cited significant risks to parade floats, participants, and attendees due to poor visibility and dangerous road conditions.

While the parade is canceled, the city emphasized that the safety of the public is paramount. Rescheduling the parade is deemed impractical due to logistical challenges with road closures and other existing holiday event commitments. The city regrets any disappointment this cancellation may cause.

However, the festive spirit continues as the Port Orange Christmas In the Park event remains on schedule for Saturday, December 6.
