Philly Snowfall Surges: Inches Pile Up Rapidly!

Heavy snowfall blanketed the Philadelphia region on Sunday, with the latest data revealing significant accumulations. Many communities north and west of the city reported between 5 to 8 inches of snow by late morning. Central Philadelphia observed around 3.6 inches, while some northeastern neighborhoods reached 4 to 5 inches.

The heaviest snow bands concentrated on parts of Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, Carbon, and Northampton counties, where towns recorded 7 to 8 inches. South Jersey and northern Delaware also experienced substantial snowfall, with totals ranging from 4 to 7 inches in several areas.

These snowfall totals were observed through Sunday morning and may increase as snow continued to fall. Travelers were advised to expect slick conditions and reduced visibility, particularly in areas that received over 5 inches of snow, leading to potential travel disruptions.
