9 Mar
Summary
- Washington's Mount Baker could see over 5 feet of snow in 72 hours.
- Strong winds up to 80 mph are expected in Montana and Idaho.
- The Pacific Northwest is facing another massive snowstorm this weekend.

A powerful snowstorm is set to impact the Pacific Northwest, bringing with it the potential for over four feet of snow. This follows a recent major snowfall event in the Cascades late last month. Washington State's Mount Baker, a popular ski destination, could experience more than 51 inches of snow within 48 hours and potentially 66 inches over 72 hours.
In addition to the heavy snowfall expected across much of Washington, the Cascade Mountain Range is predicted to receive well over 20 inches of snow in most areas. Concurrently, the northern Rockies will face significant winter weather. Montana is anticipating over 20 inches of snow, while Idaho could receive nearly a foot. Both states are also warned of strong winds, with gusts possibly reaching up to 80 mph.
