NJ Braces for Brutal Snowstorm: Foot-Plus Expected

Central Jersey is preparing for a major snowstorm forecasted to impact the region from January 25th to 26th. While precise timing remains uncertain, models indicate an accumulation of 10 to 12 inches of snow. The storm is expected to bring frigid conditions, with temperatures hovering between 10 and 15 degrees Fahrenheit and wind gusts potentially reaching 20 mph.

This anticipated snowfall occurs near the 10th anniversary of the "snowzilla" event in January 2016, which delivered two feet or more of snow. Some models suggest lingering light snow into Monday, January 27th, while others predict the storm's exit by Sunday night, January 26th. Further complicating predictions, computer models indicate the possibility of a second major snowstorm around January 31st, with below-freezing temperatures persisting through the first week of February.
