Several areas within Upnagar and Nashik Road will experience scheduled power disruptions on Tuesday, October 7, 2026. These planned outages are necessary for Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to conduct vital maintenance and repair work on two 11 kV feeder lines. The Gandhinagar feeder, managed from the Upnagar substation, will be out of service between 9 am and 2 pm. Simultaneously, the Deolali Gaon feeder, originating from the Muktidham substation, will face a shutdown from 9 am until noon.
A wide array of localities will be affected by the Gandhinagar feeder shutdown. These include Abhish Nagar, Panchsheel Nagar, Datta Mandir, Deep Nagar, Vidyut Colony, Sahakar Colony, NK Nagar, LIC Society, Chhoti Janata, Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Tagore Nagar, and the Vijay Mamata theatre area. Other impacted zones are JK Tyre, Takli Road, and Shivaji Nagar.
The shutdown of the Deolali Gaon feeder will lead to power interruptions in Madina Chowk, Kadri Manzil, Rani Laxmibai Road, Gadekar Mala, Mathura Road, Deolali Gaon, Somwar Bazaar, and Vihitgaon. Additionally, areas such as Budki Road, Shiv Samarth Nagar, Veet Bhatti, Police Line, Sundar Nagar, Surana Chowk, Suvarna Society, Hari Om Nagar, and Maheshwari Bhavan will also be without power.
MSEDCL officials have indicated that power supply could potentially be restored earlier than scheduled if the maintenance work is completed ahead of time. However, they also noted that the duration of the shutdown might be extended in the event of unforeseen technical delays.
