Water supply in several areas of Mumbai's H-West ward will be impacted by scheduled shutoffs and low-pressure service on March 28 and March 29. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is conducting essential work to commission a new 750 mm diameter main water pipeline.
This critical operation, located between Ramdas Naik Marg, Swami Vivekanand Marg, and RK Patkar Marg junction in Bandra West, will last for 16 hours. The work is scheduled to commence at 11 pm on March 28 and conclude by 5 pm on March 29.
Affected areas on Sunday, March 29, include extensive parts of Khar West, Santacruz West, and Bandra West. Specific localities in Bandra West such as Bazaar Marg, D'Monte Road, Hill Road, and Carter Road will experience the shutoff. Some parts of Gazdarbandh slum are also on the list.
Saturday, March 28, will see disruptions in parts of Khar West, areas along Dr Ambedkar Marg, Pali Gaothan, and Pali Plateau. Residents are strongly advised to store sufficient water for their needs and to conserve water throughout the affected period. For safety, it is recommended to boil and filter drinking water for up to five days post-disruption.
