The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar, forecasting isolated places with intense spells of rain. This follows active monsoon conditions, with predictions of extremely heavy rainfall for Konkan and Gujarat between July 4 and July 7.
Further afield, isolated to scattered rainfall is expected over various northern and western Indian regions, including Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, over the coming days.
