Milwaukee braces for Easter weekend rain

Milwaukee is set to experience rainy weather throughout the upcoming Easter weekend. Following recent severe thunderstorms, another weather system is predicted to arrive Friday evening, April 3rd, after impacting Madison earlier in the afternoon. This system is classified as a level one out of five severe weather event, less intense than Thursday's level three storm.

The storm is expected to last until early Saturday morning, April 4th. While strong winds and tornadoes are not anticipated, "small to marginally severe" hail may occur in the Milwaukee area. Friday's temperatures will reach 50 degrees before plummeting to the 30s overnight. Saturday will bring mostly dry conditions with minor chances of rain and wind gusts up to 30 mph, with highs in the mid-50s, dropping to freezing levels Saturday night.

Easter Sunday, April 5th, is forecasted to be "completely dry" during the daytime, with temperatures peaking around 48 degrees. However, a chance of precipitation returns on Monday, April 6th, with highs in the mid-40s. While rain is likely, there's a slight possibility of snowflakes if the system arrives later in the evening, though any snow accumulation is not expected. By Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures are predicted to warm into the 50s.
