Maryland Heatwave: 90s Return This Weekend

Maryland is bracing for another round of significant heat from Friday into the weekend, with temperatures expected to reach the low 90s away from the Chesapeake Bay. This initial period will feature a dry heat. Saturday is forecast to be the hottest day, with highs potentially reaching the middle 90s, accompanied by a westerly breeze.

As humidity increases late Saturday into Saturday night, there's a possibility of thunderstorms across northern and central Maryland. While these storms could bring gusty winds and heavy downpours, they are not expected to disrupt daytime activities. A cold front passing south on Sunday should lead to drier conditions with northwest winds, though temperatures will remain hot in the upper 80s and lower 90s with ample sunshine.

Monday and Tuesday offer a brief respite from the heat, with highs in the lower to middle 80s and comfortable overnight lows. However, another heatwave is predicted to build by mid to late next week, pushing temperatures back into the 80s and 90s.
