Louisville residents are advised to prepare for a wet Memorial Day weekend as showers and thunderstorms are predicted from May 23rd through May 25th. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch until noon on May 23rd.
Daily high temperatures are expected to reach the low 80s. While daily rainfall amounts are predicted to be less than a tenth of an inch, thunderstorms could increase these totals significantly.
Mayor Craig Greenberg announced the cancellation of the paddle portion of the Mayor's Hike, Bike and Paddle event on May 22nd. This decision was made due to rising Ohio River levels and challenging currents. The hike and bike segments of the event will proceed as planned.
