While Kolkata experienced minimal rainfall, districts such as Bankura and Purulia in south Bengal encountered light to moderate showers. The maximum temperature in Kolkata on Monday was 30.4°C, a slight decrease from the previous day, and 2.6 notches below normal.
The minimum temperature recorded was 23.9°C, 2.2 notches above normal. Met officials predict no significant temperature variation in the city for the next three days, after which the mercury is expected to start rising. The highest temperature recorded this year was 33.1°C on March 3rd.
