Summary

- High school students will transition to remote learning due to hazardous weather.
- Meal pickup options remain available for high school students.

Guilford County Schools is implementing an early dismissal schedule for Monday, December 9th, 2025, in response to a Winter Weather Advisory. The district cited the risk of hazardous weather conditions, particularly in the northern areas of the county, as the reason for these changes.
Elementary schools will close three hours ahead of their normal schedule, with students leaving at 11:10 a.m. Middle schools will follow suit, dismissing their students at 12:10 p.m. These early dismissals aim to ensure the safety of younger students traveling home.
High school students, however, will not have an in-person school day. The district has opted for remote learning for all high schools on this date. Despite the shift to virtual classes, meal pickup services will still be available for high school students at 9 a.m. or 12 p.m.
