Temperatures are warming Tuesday morning as weather advisories are adjusted. A winter weather advisory has been canceled for Grand Isle County. However, a new advisory is now active for northern St. Lawrence, Clinton, and Franklin counties in New York.
This advisory is in effect from Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. until Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Freezing rain is anticipated in areas such as Massena, Plattsburgh, Malone, and Champlain. Ice accumulations are expected to be a few hundredths of an inch.
Plain rain will fall across the remainder of Vermont and New York. Even a slight ice glaze can create hazardous conditions. Travelers should anticipate potentially difficult conditions on Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory, emphasizing the danger even light ice can pose.
