The freeze watch covered the northwestern part of Modoc County and the northeastern quadrant of Siskiyou County in California, as well as central and eastern Lake County and the Klamath Basin in Oregon, including areas around Klamath Falls, Chiloquin, Dorris, Tulelake, Lakeview, and Alturas. Forecasters also predicted that other parts of the state, including Central California, could see a return of snow to the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
