Evening Storms Bring Heavy Rain, Flood Risk

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue into the evening hours. Thunderstorms that developed over Ohio are anticipated to reach the region shortly, bringing the possibility of heavy rain. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Franklin and Fulton counties, which will remain in effect until 10 PM tonight.

Periods of heavy rainfall are possible, and meteorologists will be monitoring any slow-moving storms that could lead to isolated flash flooding. Temperatures have been impacted by the cloud cover and precipitation, with western counties reaching the upper 70s and eastern areas in the low 70s.

Looking ahead, stray showers and thunderstorms are possible on Monday, with highs expected to reach the mid-80s before any storms develop. Much of the upcoming week is predicted to be seasonable, with rain chances reemerging on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings.
