England has officially experienced its driest July since records began 190 years ago. This historic lack of rainfall has led to severe drought conditions, particularly impacting London. The Kew Gardens weather station registered no precipitation throughout the entire month, highlighting the extreme dryness.

As a direct consequence, the capital has been declared to be in a state of drought, prompting authorities to implement a hosepipe ban. The visible impact of this prolonged dry spell is starkly evident across London's formerly lush green spaces, which have now turned a uniform straw-yellow color.

Photographer Jason Hawkes, who has extensively documented London from the sky for over 35 years, noted the dramatic visual change. He observed how different the landscape looks now compared to just one month prior, emphasizing the rapid transformation caused by the persistent dry weather.
