Delhi Prepares for Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms This Week

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi is set to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms over the next few days. On Monday, July 28, the maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are likely to be in the range of 33 to 35°C and 26 to 28°C, respectively.
The IMD has issued a heavy rain warning for parts of Delhi, Haryana, and Chandigarh on July 28 and 29. The weather department had earlier predicted "generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning" for these two days.
The forecast indicates that Delhi may witness light rainfall until July 31. On Tuesday, July 29, the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be recorded at 29 to 31°C and 23 to 25°C, respectively.
This weather pattern is likely to continue throughout the week, with no heatwave in sight. The IMD has also warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall over Northeast India on July 28, as well as the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall in parts of Rajasthan on Monday, July 28, and during July 29-31.
