Monsoon Fury: Delhi-NCR Braces for Heavy Showers

Heavy monsoon showers have impacted Delhi-NCR, with parts of the region experiencing significant rainfall and thundershowers on Monday. The sudden downpour caused early darkening of the sky, prompting concerns about potential waterlogging and traffic disruptions across the National Capital Region.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that monsoon activity remains strong nationwide. In addition to Delhi-NCR, the IMD has forecast heavy rainfall for several other states, including Uttarakhand, Odisha, and Telangana. Odisha, in particular, is anticipated to witness intense showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds in various regions.

Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram can expect intermittent rain and thundershowers as the monsoon pattern influences the area. Residents are advised to stay prepared for abrupt weather shifts, especially those commuting. The intermittent nature of these showers means conditions could change rapidly throughout the day, potentially leading to reduced visibility and slower traffic during heavier spells.
