India is currently facing a dual weather threat, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing warnings for both cold wave conditions and dense fog across various parts of the country. These adverse weather phenomena are expected to impact daily life and travel in the coming days.
Cold wave conditions are specifically predicted for isolated places over Telangana, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh. A severe cold wave alert has also been sounded for North Interior Karnataka, indicating a significant drop in temperatures. Meanwhile, states like Odisha have been experiencing continuous cold wave conditions for the past seven days.
Simultaneously, dense fog is expected to blanket several regions during morning hours, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Light rainfall and snowfall are also anticipated in the Western Himalayan Region, including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, due to a fresh western disturbance.
