On September 10th, 2025, a coastal flood advisory was issued for parts of the Tri-State area, including southern Westchester County, Rockland, and southern Connecticut. The National Weather Service warned that coastal communities near the Sound Shore and along the Hudson River could experience minor flooding from around 10 am to 4 pm due to high tides.
Flood-prone areas such as low-lying neighborhoods, parking lots, beaches, riverfront areas, and major roadways near rivers and streams are expected to see up to a foot of floodwaters above ground level. The highest tides are predicted to occur around 11 am on Wednesday and noon on Thursday.
The Lower Hudson Valley is also forecast to see some scattered showers before 11 am on Wednesday, with the rest of the day expected to be cloudy and chilly, with a high of only 67 degrees. However, the remainder of the week is looking much more sunny and dry, with average temperatures in the mid to high 70s during the day.
