Central Florida is experiencing a Weather Alert Day on Tuesday due to dangerous heat conditions, following record-breaking temperatures on Monday. Although Tuesday's highs are not anticipated to set new records, the perceived heat will be extreme, with Orlando expected to reach 96 degrees and other areas in the low to mid-90s. Other parts of Central Florida are under a Heat Advisory during the same hours, with heat index values potentially reaching 105 to 110 degrees. Residents are strongly advised to take precautions, such as limiting strenuous outdoor activities, staying hydrated, and seeking air-conditioned or shaded areas. There is also a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, primarily east of the I-95 corridor, which could bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. The forecast offers good news for the extended outlook, with temperatures expected to return to normal summertime levels by the week's end, providing a slight respite from the intense heat.
