Bengaluru Braces for Rainy Week Ahead: Cloudy Skies and Moderate Showers

Over the past few days, dark clouds have been hanging over most parts of Bengaluru, leading to slow-moving traffic and brief waterlogging during the early commute. According to weather experts, a low-pressure system developing over the Southwest Bay of Bengal is driving the prolonged rainfall in the region.

The weather forecast for the week ahead indicates that Bengaluru will continue to see overcast skies and intermittent showers, with temperatures hovering between 30°C and 20°C. The yellow alert, which has been extended till Monday, October 27, warns of the possibility of heavy rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds.

Officials have urged residents to remain cautious and plan their travel carefully, especially through low-lying stretches prone to flooding. The current spell of rainfall is expected to continue throughout the week, with the IMD predicting that the low-pressure area will consolidate further and possibly intensify before moving toward the coast.
