Ukraine's Jetkiller Drones Get Speed Boost

Ukraine's SkyFall has introduced the P1-SUN Jetkiller, an upgraded interceptor drone engineered to counter Russia's swift, jet-powered Shahed attack drones. This new model debuted at the Farnborough International Airshow, boasting a top speed of 370 km/h, a notable increase from its predecessor.

The development addresses the challenge posed by Russian Shaheds fitted with jet engines, which can reach speeds up to 500 km/h. This upgrade significantly improves Ukraine's window for detection and interception.

During combat trials, the Jetkiller reportedly neutralized over a dozen jet-powered Shaheds before its upcoming serial production. SkyFall plans to commence large-scale manufacturing of the Jetkiller in August 2026, following the completion of all combat testing phases.

SkyFall's existing production capacity allows for an impressive output of up to 50,000 interceptor drones monthly. The earlier P1-SUN model, launched in November 2025, has an established record, credited with destroying more than 5,500 Russian drones.

Several other companies are also developing counter-drone systems, including General Cherry's Bullet interceptor and Firebolt Engineering's Griffen system, highlighting a race towards faster interceptor drone designs.
