Summary
- A pocket-sized receiver can intercept live video from many Russian drones.
- The device is lightweight, weighing only 10 ounces.
- It detects frequencies used by newer Russian Molniya drones.

Ukrainian drone teams have a new counter-surveillance tool with the D·Vision SDR, a compact receiver developed by Kyiv-based startup CODE380. This device, weighing approximately 10 ounces, can intercept live video transmissions from numerous Russian drones. This capability provides Ukrainian forces with critical real-time intelligence, allowing them to anticipate drone movements and targets.
The D·Vision SDR is notable for its ability to detect newer radio frequencies employed by Russia's Molniya drones, a feature absent in many existing detection systems. Radio specialist Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov highlighted the importance of this capability, while also cautioning against over-reliance on such technology.
Concerns exist about future threats, as digital video could render current receivers obsolete. Reports indicate some Molniya drones are already AI-guided and emit no signals, posing a new challenge to detection efforts.
