Gunmen carried out deadly assaults on two villages in northwestern Nigeria on Tuesday, resulting in at least 15 fatalities. The targeted communities, Falale and Kadobe in the Jibia area of Katsina State, were attacked in the early afternoon.
Authorities stated that the violence was a reprisal attack. Local security forces had previously engaged in a firefight, killing three gunmen. In retaliation, the armed group launched the assault on the villages.
