For the first time in history, Jaipur will be the venue for the 78th Indian Army Day Parade on January 15, 2026. This significant event will showcase advanced military equipment, including those utilized in 'Operation Sindoor'. A special 'Shaurya Sandhya' is planned at SMS Stadium, with the Union defence minister as the chief guest, featuring a spectacular light and sound show.
The parade itself will be a historic shift, taking place on Jagatpura Mahal Road in a civilian area, ensuring public accessibility to witness the military's capabilities. Attendees can expect a fly-past by fighter jets and helicopters, a march of various contingents, and demonstrations of cutting-edge drone technology and modern warfare tactics.
Adding to the festivities, an exhibition titled 'Know Your Army' will run from January 8-12, offering interactive experiences. The 'Shaurya Sandhya' will also include a play reenacting 'Operation Sindoor', martial arts, and a drone show. Plans are underway for a digital broadcast to 14,000 village councils, further extending the reach of this national celebration.
