Iran Strikes Hit US Targets: New Details Emerge

Video footage and satellite images provide new details on recent Iranian strikes against U.S. targets in the Middle East. Over the past two weeks, Iran has attacked nine U.S. locations, demonstrating its capability to inflict damage. A visual analysis by The New York Times indicates that these strikes have damaged U.S. military facilities, including living quarters, drone shelters, and radar systems.

One significant attack occurred at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, resulting in the deaths of three U.S. soldiers and wounding others. Nearly a dozen troops were treated in Germany for severe injuries sustained from missile and drone attacks in Jordan and other countries. Four of the struck locations, including the base in Jordan, had previously been targeted earlier in the conflict.

Assessing the damage has been challenging due to a lack of high-resolution satellite imagery, with the U.S. government restricting providers from releasing visuals. However, Iran has widely circulated imagery of its strikes as part of its propaganda. The Times corroborated this evidence using various sources, including Iranian satellite images, videos from inside attacked locations, and lower-resolution imagery from NASA and ESA.

Specific damage detailed includes destroyed hangars and drone shelters at the Jordanian air base. Another U.S. military outpost, Tower 22 on Jordan's northern border with Syria, was also struck, with satellite imagery confirming structural damage. Additionally, King Hussein International Airport in Jordan and air bases in Kuwait, including Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base where a radar system was destroyed, were also targeted.
