The National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire will host a commemoration, with wreaths to be laid at the Ambulance Services, Fire and Rescue Services, and UK Police Memorials. From September 5th to 13th, volunteers will lead a 75-minute guided walk at the arboretum, sharing stories of the emergency workers' service and sacrifice. Visitors can also read poems by local students reflecting on the lives of those commemorated. Established in 2017, 999 Day aims to promote the work of emergency services and encourage new recruits.
