Summary
- 62% of zillennials use AI to choose health plans
- 21% of zillennials lack confidence in selecting suitable plans
- Over half of Gen Z don't know much about choosing insurance

According to a recent report, the microgeneration known as "zillennials" – comprising the eldest Gen Zers and youngest millennials – are turning to AI to help them choose health insurance plans. As of 2025-11-18T00:45:01+00:00, roughly two in three zillennials (62%) have used AI tools to assist with this task, as many find the process of selecting a suitable plan overwhelming.
Around one in five zillennials (21%) lack confidence in their ability to choose an appropriate health plan for themselves, with nearly 3 in 10 Gen Z adults (29%) feeling this way compared to 17% of millennials. This lack of confidence is likely due to the fact that over half of Gen Z adults (55%) admit they don't know much about the process, having never had to select a plan themselves.
As AI continues to infiltrate various aspects of life, from the workforce to education and even dating, it's not surprising that zillennials are turning to this technology for help with their health insurance decisions as well. With the complexities of navigating different plan options, AI is emerging as a trusted advisor for this generation, providing a simplified and personalized approach to a daunting task.
