YouTube TV Live Guide Gets Major Mobile Overhaul

YouTube TV is enhancing its mobile viewing experience with a redesigned Live Guide interface, now widely available on Android and iOS applications. This update brings the mobile app closer to the layout introduced on television platforms last year, replacing the older, less informative vertical list design.

The new Live Guide prioritizes improved information density and intuitive navigation. Channel icons are prominently displayed on the left, enabling users to see multiple channels simultaneously. Program listings extend horizontally, facilitating easy browsing of upcoming content and scheduling details. A key feature is the "Jump to live" button, allowing immediate return to the current broadcast.

Further enhancing usability, the interface now integrates detailed program information, including total runtime and remaining broadcast time. Users can long-press listings for a floating information panel with previews and descriptions, offering quick actions like adding to a library or setting reminders. This update modernizes a core app function, though other sections like Home and Library await similar visual refreshes.
