22 Jan
Summary
- Xbox app now supports all Arm-based Windows 11 PCs.
- Over 85 percent of Game Pass titles function on Arm.
- Windows on Arm supports anti-cheat for more games.

Microsoft has released the Xbox app for all Arm-based Windows 11 PCs, broadening the reach of PC gaming. This development follows an update to Microsoft's Prism emulator in December 2025, which now better translates x86 and x64 applications to Arm, including support for AVX and AVX2 extensions vital for game performance.
Users on Windows on Arm can now purchase, download, and stream PC games through the Xbox app. Microsoft reports that more than 85 percent of its Game Pass library is compatible with Arm PCs. A key advantage over other platforms is Windows on Arm's compatibility with anti-cheat systems, opening up more online multiplayer games.
This move aligns with Microsoft's broader strategy for Windows on Arm, underscored by its Copilot+ PC program launched in 2024, many of which feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips. The expanded Arm support suggests a potential future for Arm-based Windows 11 handheld gaming devices.
