Summary
- Kiran Patil built the smallest functional arcade machine beside a battery.
- The micro arcade measures 24.85 mm high and runs Space Invaders.
- He previously set a record for the smallest working drill in 2019.

Aerospace engineer Kiran Patil from Bengaluru, India, has set a new Guinness World Record for creating the world's smallest functional arcade machine. This micro marvel stands just 24.85 mm high, 15.25 mm long, and 15.1 mm wide, small enough to be placed beside a battery. Despite its diminutive size, the machine is fully operational, featuring tactile buttons and capable of running an emulated version of the classic game Space Invaders.
Patil's journey into microelectronics began in childhood, evolving into a passion that led to this remarkable achievement. He first considered the project during the COVID-19 pandemic, refining it over several years with meticulous planning and the assembly of the smallest available components. His efforts culminated on July 20, 2025, when he officially secured the record. This success follows his prior Guinness World Record achievement on April 19, 2019, for the smallest working drill.
This accomplishment underscores Patil's dedication to electronics and microelectronics. His ability to combine professional engineering skills with personal interest has resulted in groundbreaking, record-setting devices that push the boundaries of miniaturization.
