Willow's Voice-Powered Keyboard App Revolutionizes Typing Across iOS

In November 2025, Willow, a startup founded by Stanford dropouts Allan Guo and Lawrence Liu, is launching an iOS app that aims to revolutionize voice-powered typing. The app, which supports over 100 languages, allows users to transcribe their voice and format the text according to the context, whether it's for work, messaging, email, or other purposes.

One key advantage of Willow's app is the full keyboard available for quick edits, unlike competitors like Wispr Flow that only offer a numeric keyboard. This enables users to easily modify words or sentences without having to switch between keyboards.

Willow initially focused on healthcare solutions, but the founders were inspired by their conversations with doctors who found voice AI scribes useful for recording patient conversations and creating follow-up documents. This led the team to pivot and develop a voice AI tool for knowledge workers and other users.
