WhatsApp to Unveil Powerful Storage Management Feature

As of October 2025, WhatsApp remains the world's most popular instant messaging platform, boasting over 3 billion users globally. The Meta-owned service is known for its secure, end-to-end encrypted chats and calls, as well as its cross-platform compatibility, making it a go-to choice for communication between family, friends, and even AI chatbots like ChatGPT.

According to reports from WhatsApp enthusiast WABetaInfo, the upcoming feature will allow users to manage their WhatsApp storage directly from the chat screen, rather than having to navigate through the app's settings menu. This new location for the storage management tools is expected to make it even easier for users to identify and delete files that are consuming the most space, helping them free up storage on their devices.

The storage management feature is currently in testing on beta versions of the WhatsApp app for both Android and iOS platforms.
