Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has announced its adoption of Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI), marking a significant step towards preparing students for future technological advancements. This pioneering move involves an academic and research agreement with Chiac ASI, a United Kingdom-based institution recognized as the world's first ASI research body.
VTU's Vice-Chancellor, Dr. S. Vidyashankar, highlighted the university's commitment to aligning with rapid technological evolution. He stated that ASI is anticipated to spark a revolution by 2030, and VTU is proactively addressing concerns surrounding AI's swift expansion. Under this agreement, Chiac ASI will provide complimentary internships to more than 1,000 students and supply engineering faculty with self-updating ASI textbooks.
Chiac ASI's CEO, Chandrashekar Nagaraju, emphasized the national security imperative for India to lead in super intelligence before 2030, noting the rapid progress of the US and China. The partnership aims to cultivate one million ASI-skilled engineers in India, with VTU projected to produce 4 lakh such professionals, a substantial contribution to the nation's technological future.
