Tuesday Labs, a New York City-based robotics company, has opened reservations for its new bi-pedal robot, Voxel. This innovative machine is engineered to learn and perform routine household tasks, functioning as a "droid butler" for modern homes.
The Voxel Series-1, available for preorder, boasts a distinctive design with two highly-articulated arms, each offering seven degrees of freedom. These arms end in grippers, and the robot navigates using Z-shaped legs designed for balance and adjustable height.
While full pricing is projected at $20,000, reservations are currently being accepted for $200, with shipments expected in 2028. Voxel is designed to handle chores such as decluttering, watering plants, and locating lost items.
Its advanced vision system includes stereo RGB cameras and a wide-field camera for comprehensive room monitoring. Although Voxel won't be performing complex tasks like cooking at launch, its ability to manage mundane chores could appeal to many households.
