Volvo EX60 Cross Country: EV Goes Rugged

Volvo has unveiled the new EX60 Cross Country, extending its adventurous spirit to the electric vehicle segment. This new variant builds upon the foundation of the all-electric EX60, incorporating rugged design cues and enhanced capabilities for light off-road excursions.

The EX60 Cross Country distinguishes itself with a wider track, pronounced fender flares, and contrasting matte black bumpers with distinctive "Cross Country" graphics. Accents like brushed stainless steel skid plates and unique wheel designs contribute to its robust aesthetic.

Functionally, the EX60 Cross Country receives a 20mm increase in ride height over the standard model. An optional air suspension can further raise the vehicle by an additional 20mm, offering up to 7.6 inches of ground clearance suitable for unpaved roads. The air suspension can also lower the vehicle at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics and preserve range.

This adventure-ready EV will be exclusively available with dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrains. Volvo estimates approximately 300 miles of range for the P10 AWD variant, a slight reduction compared to the standard EX60. Orders are expected to open later in 2026, with customer deliveries following the standard EX60's market introduction.
