Volvo is introducing the EX60, a new electric SUV featuring a revolutionary gigacast frame and advanced technology, including NVIDIA and Qualcomm chipsets, and Google's Gemini AI.
This mid-size, five-seater SUV will be available in three configurations: the 369-hp P6 with a 310-mile range, the 503-hp P10 with a 320-mile range, and the top-tier 670-hp P12 with a 400-mile range.
The EX60 utilizes a new SPA3 platform and gigacasting for reduced carbon emissions, even lower than the smaller EX30. It incorporates a large 112-kWh battery pack in its most potent version.
Onboard, the EX60 features a 15-inch OLED touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm chipset, running an Android Automotive system with integrated Apple Music and Google's Gemini AI assistant.
Volvo's CTO highlighted the absence of LiDAR, stating current sensors achieve sufficient safety. The vehicle will adopt the Tesla-style NACS charging standard, with charging from 10% to 80% taking under 20 minutes.
Pricing for the EX60 is expected to start around $60,000, positioning it against rivals like the BMW iX3 and upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC.
