Mouse Computer has unveiled the X2, an exceptionally light laptop weighing just 981g. This compact notebook sports a 12.2-inch display with a 1920 by 1200 resolution and is available with three AMD Ryzen AI processor options. The base model utilizes a Ryzen 5 216, while higher configurations feature the Ryzen AI 5 340 or the top-tier Ryzen AI 7 350, which approaches Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H in performance benchmarks.
Connectivity includes gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and multiple USB ports, complemented by a 60 Wh battery promising extended usage. The laptop also offers a 180-degree hinge and a 2 MP webcam with a privacy shutter. An available SODIMM slot allows for RAM expansion from 16 GB to 32 GB, catering to user needs.
Currently, the X2 is exclusive to the Japanese market, with sales commencing sequentially from October. Pricing starts at ¥239,800 (approximately $1,545) for the Ryzen AI 5 variant with 16 GB RAM and 500 GB storage, while the Ryzen AI 7 configuration costs ¥259,000 (approximately $1,670). The device is offered in Cosmo Blue, Frost Gold, and Pearl White color options.
