Trump Phone T1: Delayed Again, Looks Different
7 Feb
Summary
- The Trump T1 phone's release has been delayed past its second advertised launch date.
- A near-production model shown to The Verge features a different camera design.
- The phone's manufacturing claims have shifted from 'made in the US' to 'Proudly American'.

The Trump T1 smartphone, initially slated for an August 2025 release, has encountered persistent delays, missing its most recent advertised launch window of late 2025. Executives have now presented a near-production version of the T1 to The Verge, revealing design modifications, including a significantly altered camera array. This unveiling follows concerns about the phone's eventual release.
Trump Mobile, which began operations in June of the previous year, currently offers refurbished Apple and Samsung phones. The T1's manufacturing origin claim has evolved from 'made in the US' to the more ambiguous 'Proudly American,' as large-scale domestic smartphone production proved unfeasible. The company continues to accept $100 deposits for the T1 phone.
Specifications for the T1, as previously advertised, include a 6.25-inch AMOLED screen and a 50MP main camera. However, the model seen by The Verge appeared to have a larger screen with a waterfall display and a vertical camera setup. Executives cited a decision to refine the initial product as the reason for the delays, aiming to "skip our first initial entry-level phone." Final assembly is planned for Florida, with components sourced from a 'favored nation.'
