Texas Instruments has launched the TI-84 Evo, an upgraded graphing calculator aimed at students seeking a focused learning experience. This new model significantly enhances performance with a processor that is three times faster than previous versions. It also offers 50% more graphing space and a redesigned, simplified keypad.
The TI-84 Evo is marketed as a 'distraction-free' device, intentionally lacking Wi-Fi, notifications, and other apps common on personal devices. This single-purpose design is intended to help users concentrate solely on mathematical tasks. The calculator now features USB-C charging and a new tracing function to identify points of interest on graphs.
Available immediately, the TI-84 Evo is priced at $160 for individual customers, with bulk pricing options for school districts. It comes in a range of contemporary colors including white, mint, pink, purple, teal, raspberry, and silver, blending functionality with modern aesthetics.
