System76's 2026 Thelio Mira Custom desktop PC is a remarkably quiet yet powerful Linux workstation. It is built around AMD's Ryzen 9000 "Granite Ridge" platform, offering PCIe 5.0 for enhanced I/O speeds. The CPU options range up to a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X, capable of boosting up to 5.7 GHz.
For graphics, the system can be configured with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, suitable for AI workloads like inference with 7-8B models. Its liquid-cooled design is explicitly engineered for sustained high clocks during long-running tasks, providing a significant performance uplift and temperature reduction compared to previous models.
The Mira Custom supports up to 192 GB of DDR5 RAM and features multiple M.2 NVMe slots alongside SATA bays for extensive storage options. Connectivity includes 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7. System76 manufactures these systems in Denver, Colorado, emphasizing quality and robust design tested for durability.
